Our services can be used to improve the quality of specific critical applications which many organizations use to drive their operations. Below are some examples of applications which we have worked with in the past with our customers to accelerate and ensure high responsiveness.
- CRM Applications - Customer Relationship Management applications are used by organizations to provide customer service and assistance with day-to-day operations. Our customers use applications like SalesForce™ and Microsoft DynamicCRM™, and many have remote and branch offices. These remote offices must be able to access these services 24/7, and thus many of our customers utilize our services to ensure this connectivity.
- VoIP - Voice over the Internet is gaining popularity and more organizations are leveraging its low cost and rich feature set. As VoIP is being deployed it is very important for any organization to think about reliability and call quality. In the event of a link outage, the VoIP must have the ability to failover. During normal usage VoIP calls must have high call quality, which means that other network traffic can not be allowed to interfere with these calls.
- SaaS Applications - Software as a Service is the next step in distributed computing. The cost advantages are making SaaS the preferred choice among many small to mid-sized businesses. Again, availability is a key factor that must be considered when using these types of applications. If your organization is depending on remote applications, each end of those connections MUST be available 24/7, not just the datacenter, but the remote sites as well or the application does not work.
- Data Backup Services - Many organizations today are using data backup services to provide them with an effective means of offsite backup. These backups are typically done on a nightly basis in order to avoid causing network congestion, however many backup applications provide for real-time backup. With the ability to offload backup sessions to a secondary link the ZO service allows companies to perform real-time backups, and not just nightly backups.
- Controlling P2P Usage - Organizations of all types have issues with end-users downloading file which are considered low priority. Access to sites such as YouTube™ can severely slow down a network when used heavily. If this type of traffic could be offloaded to a secondary link then more critical network traffic would be unaffected during normal business hours which would result in higher productivity and application responsiveness for the rest of the organization.
